Dear Supporters, Family, and Friends,

I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support throughout my journey. Your presence at the celebration of my gold medal victory at the USA Boxing International Tournament meant the world to me.

Growing up in San Bernardino, I've faced numerous challenges, but your support has been my rock. From my family to my educators, coaches, mentors, and the incredible team at Project Fighting Chance, I couldn't have achieved what I have without you.

As you know, i just won a gold medal at the world invitational defeating 2 Olympians. I have won nine national championships, secured the gold medal in the Olympic trials, and was honored as the best Olympic trials athlete of the year. Additionally, I am ranked number one in the nation and 12th in the world. However, despite these accomplishments, I was not selected to be a part of the 2024 USA Olympics boxing team. This was both painful and disappointing.

The politics within the sport can be disheartening, but I refuse to let it deter me from pursuing my dreams. Therefore, I've decided to turn professional. It's a decision I've made after careful consideration for myself and my family. I'm excited about this next phase of my career and am determined to represent both San Bernardino and our country with pride.

I want to urge each of you to continue supporting Project Fighting Chance and its mission. Your investment in programs like these gives kids like me the opportunity to chase their dreams and rewrite their narratives. Your support has been instrumental in my success, and I hope you'll continue to champion others like me.

Thank you once again for giving me a fighting chance.

Sincerely,

"Terrible Terry" Washington
