I AM A CHAMPION

Coach Ian Franklin, Founder and Head of Boxing, has created many amateur boxing champions over the years at Project Fighting Chance. But the greatest of them all is the youth who walks into the gym fighting with life's situations and needing a positive, encouraging, and structured support system to help STOP THE TRAUMA!

ENRICHMENT​

From chess to STEAM, mindfulness, and engaging presentations, Project Fighting Chance enrichment programs are offered both encourage and challenge youth being champions during the regular school year and continuing into summer break.

BEGINNING BOXING 

Provides both interested and novice youth with boxing fundamentals and expectations to learn the sport through group and one-on-one coaching benefits that help educate and challenge youth to improve physically, emmotionally and mentally.

STAFFING 

Whether on school sites or at the Project Fighting Chance facility, team staff members are trained to engage and assist youth in boxing fitness and ensure mental wellness. PFC staff receive trauma informed as well as mandatory EXL training to service youth and create resilience.

ELITE BOXING 

Training, preparation, readiness and competition in the ranks of amateur boxing with implementation of the 4 Ds:

  1. Desire

  2. Dedication

  3. Determination

  4. Discipline

MEALS 

No child is left behind at risk of food insecurity. Nutritional meals and snacks are provided during each program session from Monday - Friday throughout the year.
