Mentorship


Mentorship is a personal developmental relationship in which a more experienced or more knowledgeable person helps to guide a less experienced or less knowledgeable person. It is about an ongoing relationship of learning, dialogue, and challenge. "Mentoring" is a process that always involves communication and is relationship based. The focus of mentoring is to develop the whole person and so the techniques are broad and require really good relationship building techniques. We at Project Fighting Chance have a wealth of community leaders that are skilled at showing youth how to survive the sometime harsh realities that plague our inner-cities...

Vocational Training


Is education that prepares people for specific trades, crafts and careers at various levels that lead to  professional position in construction, green energy jobs, electrician, welders, carpenters, computers etc... Vocational education may be classified as teaching procedural knowledge; as the labor market becomes more specialized and economies demand higher levels of skill,  businesses are increasingly investing in individuals who have participated through publicly funded training organizations and  apprenticeship or internship to augment their workforce, We are such an organization.


Community Service

Community service is a donated service or activity that is performed by someone or a group of people for the benefit of the public, Performing community service is not the same as volunteering, since it is not always done voluntarily. It may be done for a variety of reasons; court appointed, military or school requirements - but we at Project Fighting Chance perform community service which allows those participating to reflect on the difference they are making in society and gain a greater understanding of their roles in the community...

 Competition Sports


Encompassing the human competitive spirit of sports requiring physical skill, and a systems of training that prepare athletes for competitive performance. Competitive competition, demanding the qualities of stamina, fitness, and skill; is something we at Project Fighting Chance take great pride in helping youth aspire to higher personal goals increased confidence  and may become the ticket into higher education through athletic scholarships and represent their institution in an athletic conferences or professional sports...

Fighting Obesity and Fitness Motivation


Not everyone can run a 4 minute mile or do 100 push-ups or scale a 50 foot wall, but we can keep our life healthy by preventing many of today's depleting medical conditions by taking an active role in our personal fitness. We have instructors from all sorts of disciplines that have fun and engaging activities that will keep you fit while having fun. Obesity is most commonly caused by a combination of excessive food energy intake, lack of physical activity. Obesity is a leading preventable cause of death worldwide, with increasing rates in adults and children.
